My Week of Career Milestones
Dear friend,
I know that world news may feel dark right now, so allow me to share some light that befell me this past week. Let me first start with an admission, which is that my art is rooted in esotericism while being deeply personal. In other words, it's not mainstream. Which, as an artist who is a human who also needs to find a way to keep a roof over their head and put food on the table, isn't necessarily the best commercial move. But this is what I have been called to do. Therefore, I have had to be incredibly patient in allowing my form of visual expression, the chance to find its audience. Thankfully, after years of waiting, it feels like that time has come.
I say this because not only has my audience on Instagram grown to over 2,000 followers, but because I also had to say goodbye the other day to this painting, and this painting, and this painting - all of which have now found their new home. These are works that have been keeping me company for the last two years, silently exerting their calm and uplifting precense in my studio, encouraging me to not stop. To be brave. To keep going.
Calling in some Lunar energy as I get started on this commission.I am taking a moment to share this news with you right before I step back into my studio to work on a commission. Yet another meaningful milestone for me in this journey that I have been tirelessly walking along - to make my personal work as an artist, my career. On that note, thank you for being here and helping to bring my dream to life.
Yours truly,
Teri
